WHAT IS RDS (RDBS)?
Radio Data Broadcast System, or RDBS,
has been a standard used
in radio broadcasting since the early 80s for encoding text of digital information
over FM radio broadcasts. Several types of information are transmitted including
music, time and station identification which is then decoded by an RDBS equipped
radio.
By capitalizing on RDBS's acceptance in the marketplace and currently integrated into almost every car radio, the engineers at DICE Electronics have taken RDBS to the next level; iPod integration.
Simply connect your Apple iPod to a DICE RDBS FM iPod
Kit then to your vehicle's radio antenna input and transform your sound system
from the mundane to the phenomenal.
Listen to your songs recorded on your iPod whenever and for as long as you
wish in the comfort and privacy of your own vehicle.
DICE Electronics RDBS FM iPod Kit will not only play the music contained in your iPod but will also give you the track and artist's information as well as charges your iPod for hours of uninterrupted listening while controlling the volume from your radio or steering column.
Don't have RDBS in your radio? No problem! The DICE Electronics FM iPod Kit will work just fine, you just won't get text across your radio. Some radios may have an RDS button which is the European nomenclature of RDBS.
